Selectmen's Amended Meeting Minutes

November 27, 2007

 

 

In Attendance:  David Leone (chair), Michael Brogna, Pamela Hamel (Administrative Assistant)

 

Audience Members Present

 

Dave called the meeting to order at 6:02pm.

 

Dave read a list of upcoming appointments.

 

Mike read the selectmen's meeting minutes of 11-20-07 to the audience because Dave did not have his glasses.

 

Dave made a motion to accept the meeting minutes as written, Mike 2nd, all in favor, so voted.

 

Dave made a motion to sign the Health Benefits Probation Period Policy, Mike 2nd, all in favor, so voted.

 

Mike made a motion to sign the Report of Cut for Cook, Dave 2nd, all in favor, so voted.

 

Mike read a letter from the Baker Valley Snowmobile Club asking for permission to provide public snowmobile access on town properties where the club has trails.

 

Dave made a motion to sign the Permission for Snowmobile Access for Nedeau Lane, Mike 2nd, all in favor, so voted.

 

Mike put out a request for a picture to be used on the cover of the 2007 Town Report.  Pictures can be dropped off at the Selectmen’s office.

 

Dave made a motion to choose the photo at the January 8, 2008 selectmen’s meeting, Mike 2nd, all in favor, so voted.

 

Dave made a motion to go into a non public session pursuant to RSA 91-A:3 at 6:27pm, Mike 2nd, all in favor, so voted.

 

Dave made a motion to go back into public session at 6:59pm, Mike 2nd, all in favor, so voted.

 

Mike made a motion to seal the minutes of the non public session, Dave 2nd, all in favor, so voted.

 

Questions and concerns were taken from the audience.  Jim Albert asked if the liability insurance would still cover the road agent if the backhoe access door has a Plexiglas window in it.  Dave asked Pam to call the LGC for the answer.

 

Several members of the audience expressed concerns over the logging operations in town.  Items included hours of operation, days of operation, and exceeding speed limits.

The Board asked that individual residents contact the police department about the speed limit violations.  The Board is still looking into the other concerns.

 

Dave made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:11pm, Mike 2nd, all in favor, so voted.
